Food ok, subscription service stinks! August 20, 2010 Michelle Mcginnis-anderson (Central Missouri) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I tried getting this delivered on the subscription service because the price was right and I am handicapped so it's hard for me to lift things in and out of the car. Nice to have it placed on the porch. However, I did not understand the subs service and somehow set it up twice. My mistake which Amazon did not care about one bit, cost me 40.00 in bank fees. That was some FANCY Fancy Feast!
If you want less expensive and equally nutritious pet food, read the following: August 9, 2010 Jonathan Appleseed 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Easy tips:
1. Sift through your neighbor's garbage and pick out the left overs.
2. Put them in a blender, set on Pulverize, and let run for five minutes.
3. Pour into muffin tins and bake at 250 degrees for 90 minutes.
You think I'm kidding? I'm not. 250 degrees at 90 minutes will kill virtually everything that could cause harm to your carnivore (cat). And frankly, so long as you're not sifting out half-eaten cans of Chef Boyardee, you're probably doing your cat a favor.
Just read the ingredients...
Oh, wait. In an interesting turn of events, Amazon has chosen not to list the ingredients! This is an oddity. Products that Amazon sells usually have the most descriptive detail of all products on their website. Because they're Amazon. It's their website. They make cool product pages. Heck, have you seen the page for Harry Potter, Book 7? Or the Kindle? They can do anything.
So, no ingredients from Amazon. Allow me to help. For chicken (from the manufacturer's site):
Chicken broth, chicken, liver, wheat gluten, meat by-products, corn starch-modified, artificial and natural flavors, salt, calcium phosphate, soy protein concentrate, added color, potassium chloride, taurine, magnesium sulfate, choline chloride, thiamine mononitrate, Vitamin E supplement, zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, niacin, calcium pantothenate, Vitamin A supplement, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), copper sulfate, manganese sulfate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin supplement, Vitamin B-12 supplement, biotin, folic acid, Vitamin D-3 supplement, potassium iodide.
The leading ingredient is broth. Lovely! Sodium-flavored-water. Just what a carnivore needs.
Liver. What liver? AAFCO has guidelines for what ingredient labels can say. If it doesn't name the source - i.e., if it doesn't say chicken liver - then we don't know where that liver came from. Legally, that liver could come from a euthanized cat. Isn't that a pleasant thought?
Wheat gluten. What's that? I know. Do you? If you'd rather not contribute to the growing problem of diabetes in cats - study up on it.
Meat by-products. Sames as liver. What meat? It says "meat". Not Chicken. Not Turkey. "Meat". This could, legally, be roadkill. Randy the Raccoon could be in the can. I'm not kidding. If you don't believe me, look it up.
A reviewer said this was pricey. While I don't quite follow their specific argument, they are exactly right. Any amount of money spent on body parts that can include Randy the Raccoon or euthanized companion animals is about $0.01 too much.
If someone gave this to me as a gift I would smile and depending on the nature of our relationship, either thank them politely for the gift or knock them on their rear for trying to poison my cat.
If I've yet to be clear, THIS FOOD IS JUNK. If you want overweight, diabetic cats with kidney failure at age 5, then this is the food for you. Otherwise - steer clear.
My Cats Love This! August 5, 2010 Lynn Ellingwood (Webster, NY United States) This is my cats' 2nd favorite cat food. It is very easy to have it delivered once a monty and I really appreciate it. Not as much going to the grocery store solely to purchase cat food. I really like having a subscription for the cat food.
My Cats Love it! May 17, 2010 Vivian C. Gold 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my second time ordering this product of Fancy Feast and I must say it has been wonderful the order always on time. Also it's much cheaper than in the stores. I highly recomened to any one that loves their cats and wants the best for them.
Thank you Amazon.

My two cats love Fancy Feast May 14, 2010 G. K. Libbey (Harbor Isle, NY United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My cats love this canned food. I subscribe to a monthly delivery through Amazon & find that this is an economical and reliable way to have their fave food on hand.
