| Customer Reviews: Love my Windtunnel, not just because its green :) March 6, 2010 Chyrl Duggan (Amarillo, Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I LOVE this vacuum! The vacuum before this one, which is in the shop again was an expensive Bissell which was a giant waste of money. It doesn't have nearly the power this one seems to have. I thought I had clean floors until I ran this the first time. For someone that cleans their carpet regularly and vacuums all the time, my old vacuum must have been a bigger piece of garbage than I could imagine.
br /
br /This Windtunnel has picked up dirt I didn't know existed in my carpet. Not only is the power good, I love the retractable cord. That is a feature I didn't think I'd like, and could definitely live without. Well, I have completely changed my mind there.
br /
br /I haven't had any issues with the on board tools and they stay in place in their storage much better than other vacuums I've owned.
br /
br /The vacuum doesn't weigh as much as others I've owned. I LOVE that! Its easy to move around from room to room, and if I had stairs I wouldn't mind having to use this one. I've lugged some extremely heavy vacuums up stairs. This one is quite manageable.
br /
br /I do like the way you dump the canister, however, if you aren't doing it outside, or into a trash can that is empty, so you can get it down in there, it will make a mess. I only made a mess the first time, because I wasn't ready for the bottom to flip out, the bottom flap came out and hit the edge of the trash cash and I had to sweep up a little mess.
br /
br /The only thing it seems to be missing is a light. However, I must not really need one because I just noticed it today and I've had it for 3 weeks.
br /
br / For the price, its features and its performance, I had to give it 5 stars!
br /I bought this item from Best Buy and got the 4 year extended warranty for less than $20.
BELT BROKE WITHIN 1 WEEK March 3, 2010 Lisa Heller (Allentown, PA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I liked this vacuum at first, great suction and I love the automatic cord rewind. The cord is not long enough though compared to my dyson and bissel vacuum (yes i have 3 vacuums, lol)
br /
br /While using it I accidentally got a shoe lace sucked up, I turned the vacuum off immediately and was able to pull the shoelace out of the brushes with ease...but alas the belt broke in half. Now I have sucked things up accidentally with my other vacuums and have never broken a belt!
Great Vac March 3, 2010 Purse queen 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great Vaccum. It is light weight to other full size models. My only beef is that it does not have a indicator light that tells you if the area is cleen or not. Otherwise just about perfect.
Excellent tool for the $$ March 1, 2010 Erich B. Wenis (Woodbury, CT USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a replacement for our 6 year old Eureka Boss, and shines far above.
br /This is easily 5 pounds lighter, and easier to use with both the bagless and auto-retracting cord.
br /
br /We had been using the Eureka, though the belt breaking once a month was finally too much to handle.
br /It was also a bit hefty, but worked just fine for our few carpeted rooms and picked up the dog hair equally well.
br /I did research on this at the time in Consumer Reports, and it was in the top 5.
br /This cleaner is a tad further down the line, but still rated very well, and was one of the more reasonably priced ones to boot.
br /While we had hoped to get it through Amazon, I neither wanted to wait the 1-2 months, nor pay $20 in shipping.
br /Thankfully it was listed as in stock over at our local Target, though more costly than the Amazon price, but that is what you pay for getting it quicker.
br /We've picked it up, and was amazed at how easy it is to carry around.
br /Keep in mind it does come somewhat unassembled, but it is very easy to put together.
br /I like that the main filter is reusable and rewashable, and is expected to last at least the first two years through the warranty.
br /There is a motorized brush attachment for the hose, which does wonders for pet hair on the couch.
br /Though we've only had this just a few days, I have to say my first foray with a Hoover, and this model, is off to a great beginning.
br /In the end I may change this to 5 stars, but only 4 for the moment until I get more time to use this and confirm my thoughts so far.

Tired of buying "cheap" vacuums, we decided on this Hoover and we are very content with it. It's easy to assemble and understand. The owner's manual helps but you really can do without it. It's simple to use, lightweight yet powerful, doesn't leave an odor, and easy to store. It comes with enough neat and "useful" attachments (it doesn't have a lot of attachments which is nice because you'll never use all of them); the bagless feature is cool but the washable filter is what I like the most about it. It doesn't have a headlamp but if you need a headlamp you shouldn't be vacuuming anyway. This model is worth the price and can compete with more "advanced" vacuums.
