This is our second Shark. The first lasted about 3 years being used every Saturday morning. Reliability was acceptible as that is a lot of use. Anyway, we love the operation of this unit the same as the old. Floor finish is much better than mop/bucket. Always a clean streak free finish, that is until the little ones start to eat. Any review that says this is not a good product is from someone that doesn't know how to use it properly. 5 Stars.

After an impromptu decision to purchase the Shark Portable Pocket Steamer with its many attachments about a week ago, and using it successfully over the entire week in a multitude of ways, I decided to buy the mop because my floors were being left out of all this neat cleaning. So I bought the mop yesterday afternoon, ....and love it!!
What I have always intended to do is clean portions of my saltillo tile floor instead of taking on the huge task all at once. This mop is letting me do just that. Last night to try the mop out, I steamed the kitchen floor. This afternoon when I came home from work, I got the front livingroom walkway, hallway and bathroom. In the bathroom, I used it on the river rock shower floor that had hard water residue on the rocks. I didn't spend an excess of time on the rocks, but part of the residue still came off. Next time more of the residue will come off, and soon, every rock is going to be shining and beautiful. Tomorrow I'll probably get the entryway and perhaps the rest of the livingroom, or maybe just the entryway and the rest of the livingroom floor the next day. It is sooooo nice not to have to make the commitment to get out the mop bucket and mop.
As time goes on, I'll share more. My model, purchased from Costco, didn't say the word deluxe anywhere, although it is definitely not the old model. It has the triangular pad, the carpet glide attachment, the 30 foot cord, the large water compartment, and the purple duster pad. It is the same or essentially the same unit as the Deluxe model in these reviews without the word deluxe or the model number S3501 on the box.

After reading the reviews, I thought that this would be a great product. I am really disappointed. After the cloth cleaner gets just a little dirty, it leaves streaks all over the tile. Doesn't seem to produce enough steam. My Bissell steamer was better but it died in a short period of time so I thought that I would try a Shark brand steamer. I'm taking it back.

I have read some reviews about it being hard due to having to "pump"... the pumping come from moving it back and forth, I figure, don't you always have to go back and forth to mop a floor??? So what it the big deal about that??? I read others about it not "cleaning the grout"... well, short of a pressure washer with bleach in your kitchen... or a toothbrush on your knees, that will not happen either.. unless you use caustic chemicals on your floor... enough said... One more complaint was it didn't leave a "shine"... well, the shine you see after using chemicals is that... an artificial chemical shine. Give me something more natural... and that is what this gives.
For someone with allergies this is perfect! I have used floor products that make the room smell "fresh and clean" but they are 1) fake and possibly harmful; and 2) for those with certain allergies.. just not fun at all. (plus they can make my nose hurt!)
The steam is not harmful in any way and kind of smells sweet in a way. I have a rather large tile floor and it cleans it wonderfully.
Give me this fresh natural smell and no shine any day over an artifical odor and shine left from who knows what.
Unless your floor is completely grimy and filthy every time you mop, this is the mop for you... and I have to say, I am NOT someone who mops daily or even weekly sometimes!!! This just works.. for what you need it to.

Mop is every bit as good as advertised. Easy to use and cleans and drys in a matter of seconds.
